To just get it out of the way...
A furry is a person who enjoys the look of anthropomorphic animals (animals who walk on two legs and talk). Most furries have some sort of identification with the sexual side just like any other fandom (i.e. anime, bronies, ect.) but for 99.99% of them, the sexual side is not the whole picture. You gotta see the forest through the trees.
Being a furry online (and especially in CS:GO) I have an INCREDIBLY thick skin when it comes to insults. What does irk me is when people don't even research what a furry is then ask me about sexual things as if it's the only thing in the fandom. I'm one of the few furries that aren't 110% into the sexual aspect of the fandom. Sure I do have stuff that's sexual in nature but it's EXTREMELY limited in my case.
Furries get a bad rap from shows like CSI and My Strange Addiction which go LOOKING for the negative side of the fandom. It does exist just like the negative side of society but you don't see people trying to find that stuff 24/7.Interact
